1Module 1: Introduction to Anger and Emotional Awareness
Anger is a natural part of being human - everyone experiences it. What matters most is how we understand, express, and manage this powerful emotion. In this module, you will take your first important steps toward recognizing the role anger plays in your life and learning how to respond to it in healthier, safer ways.
You’ll explore how anger builds and escalates through a cycle of thoughts, feelings, physiological reactions, and behaviours. You will learn how to identify your unique triggers and patterns so you can catch anger early before it gets out of control. You’ll also learn about what happens inside your brain and body when you get angry, helping you make sense of your responses.
Most importantly, this module will introduce you to practical tools and strategies that empower you to take back control over your anger - so it doesn’t control you.
